2013 Development Cooperation Plan accepted

The Minister of Foreign Affairs has accepted the Development Cooperation Plan for 2013. The Plan is implemented through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and is financed out of special purpose reserve funds allocated to development cooperation, MFA funds and the funds of other Ministries implementing development cooperation.

The 2013 Development Cooperation Plan was drafted on the basis of the Multiannual Development Cooperation Programme for 2012-2015. Projects covered by the Plan will be financed out of the state budget’s special purpose reserve fund administered by the MFA: Implementation of Poland’s development cooperation programme and support for international cooperation for democracy and the civil society and out of the MFA’s budget. In addition, under the new Development Cooperation Act, the 2013 Plan for the first time covers development cooperation initiatives implemented and financed out of other central government agencies’ funds.

The Plan covers initiatives addressed to countries listed as recipients of the official development assistance (ODA) by the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC).
