We have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in: Walk the World March, organised as part of the UN World Food Programme.
The objective of the march is to draw public attention to the problem of world hunger and to gather financing for WFP Fund. „Walk the World" Marches have been organised for many years now, in many locations around the globe.
On May 13, 2007 Walk the World marches will start in 15 European capital cities at the same time.
The Warsaw start is planned at 1 p.m. in the Agrykola Park. "Walk the World" will begin by welcoming all participants by representatives of the UN, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Warsaw School of Economics, the programme Master in International Management (CEMS MIM) as well as CEMS Club Warsaw. The route will lead through the streets of Warsaw to the Zamkowy Square, where refreshments will be served to the marchers. The first ones to come will receive commemorative T-shirts. Subsequently, at 2.30 p.m., the representatives of all abovementioned institutions will congratulate the marchers.
Ricky-Lion, an African music drummers' band, will accompany marchers along the route.
The closing of the event is expected at 3 p.m.
Organisation of the event will be co-financed by the Polish Aid Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
