From 8th to 18th of June 2014, a delegation from Moldova visited the Pomeranian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Stare Pole as part of a study visit. The delegation included 15 representatives from partner organisations such as the National Agency for Rural Development in Chisinau, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova, Ministry of Finance of Moldova, Ministry of Construction and Regional Development of Moldova, National Centre of Selection and Animal Reproduction, National Ecological Inspectorate, "Teleradio-Moldova”, the Deputy Chairman of the district of Kalaram and Drokia, and the Mayor of the district of Kuchuresztij de Żos Rejon Floreszt.
The visit began with a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which was also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. The inauguration of the study visit in Stare Pole was attended by Mr. Bogdan Borusewicz, Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
The aim of the study visit to Poland was to present good examples of self-employed forms of entrepreneurship, the forms of supporting entrepreneurship in rural areas and tasks of the institutions responsible for providing support to potential beneficiaries maintaining or starting their own business. The visit provided an insight into entrepreneurship from the perspective of the overall development of the rural areas.
This visit was completed as a part of the project no. 101/2014 "Development of non-agricultural business activities in rural areas in the Republic of Moldova”), carried out in the framework of the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland in 2014.
