In November 2012, the third edition of a Polish-Danish project “Enhancing Competencies of Belarusian Media Community through Training and Information Activities in Poland and Denmark” was implemented. The project aimed at increasing media and online journalism knowledge among independent Belarusian journalists.
The two-week stay in Poland and Denmark for persons running selected independent Belarusian media was realised in cooperation with the MFA’s Department of Development Cooperation, the Polish Embassy in Copenhagen, the Polish Embassy in Minsk, the MFA of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Danida Fellowship Centre.
During their stay in Poland, Belarusian journalists familiarised themselves with standards, technical advancements and trends present in dynamically developing Polish online media. The implementation of the project corresponded with the priorities of 2012 Polish Development Assistance for Belarus: support for independent media, organisations and the civil society.
