The project was implemented between 12 August and 12 December 2011 in Lusaka (Zambia), and counted with participation of one volunteer, who stayed there from 15 August to 31 December. The coordinator of the project was the Foundation of Humanitarian Aid "Redemptoris Missio”, and the local partner was the Kasisi Children's Home.

The aim of the project was to provide medical assistance in the health centre of the orphanage in Kasisi. The children living in the orphanage were main beneficiaries of the project.

The volunteer provided daily care to 240 children, of whom 60 were infected with HIV or suffered from AIDS. In the course of daily activities, she educated all the children on topics related to hygiene and healthy habits. During a two-weeks course she also trained approx. 130 pupils in first aid. During the project, the volunteer conducted regular screening tests for children under the age of 5 living in the orphanage.
