The project was implemented between 1 May and 31 December by the Polish Humanitarian Action as part of the programme “Development Education 2011”. It was addressed to the representatives of 30 Polish secondary schools, and through them to the communities of towns of less than 500,000 inhabitants.
The direct aim of the project was to prepare the school representatives to conduct activities about global interdependences in their communities.
As part of the project, 2 preparatory trainings were held in Łowicz and Konstancin-Jeziorna about global problems and a method of work based on the project for teachers and students, attended by a total of 28 teachers and 56 students. 500 copies of each of 4 educational publications for teachers (“Right to education”, “Right to water”, “Right to food”, “Project method in global education”) were published and distributed.
Other components of the project were local actions carried out by schools participating in the project. 27 schools completed actions about right to water, food or education, conducted as part of the Global Education Week.
