Installation and Commissioning of the Conference System at European - Ukrainian Youth Policy Center of the GPUSU to raise Ukrainian standards in youth policy to EU level

The critical situation of childcare and youth policy in Ukraine poses several challenges. These are addressed by such entities as the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society, which promotes private initiatives and high standards in social services for children and young people. The approach of the society is based on experience acquired in the European Union, particularly in Poland and Germany. The institution has diagnosed the need to create a platform in Ukraine for exchanging knowledge, skills and information by supplying essential communication and technical equipment for the Youth Policy Centre.

The general aim of the project is to support youth policy in Ukraine by providing technical equipment used for visualisation, acoustics and conference and interpreting services for the European-Ukrainian Youth Policy Centre, established by the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society in Ukraine. With the equipment installed, the centre can organise workshops, seminars and conferences for participants from the three cooperating countries. In addition, the project envisages the organisation of four workshops for the purpose of defining key problems of Ukrainian youth policy that need to be solved immediately.

In the period from August to December 2015, the main aim of the project was achieved. The visualisation equipment, elements of the acoustic system and equipment for conference and interpreting services were purchased and installed. The purchased items included a processor, distributors, amplifiers, receivers, projectors, screens, speakers, sound mixers and microphones. Due to the delay caused by formalities (recognising the equipment transported to Ukraine as humanitarian aid), the equipment was installed after the planned date of project completion – in December 2015 – and the workshops were postponed to the first half of 2016.
