The project of satellite television Belsat TV is implemented as partnership between the Polish MFA and Polish Public Television (TVP). The programme was launched on December 10, 2007 and is carried out at TVP's Warsaw headquarters. In 2008, daily broadcasting time was extended to 6 hours (18:00-24:00 Belarusian time). The number of news broadcasts of the station increased to 3 per day, including the 15-minute-long main edition. The production and broadcasting of programmes carried out upon request of Belsat TV (own production) as well as language preparation and broadcast of purchased film material was continued. In 2008, regular training courses for journalists, operators, producers and editors working for the stations in Poland and Belarus were organised. The programme is available via satellite Astra 1Kr and, from July 2008, also via satellite Sirius. Belsat TV is the only TV station broadcasting all of its programmes in the Belarusian language.
