On 19th February 2008 a press conference was organised by the Polish Embassy to announce the opening of children' s library in Anjara, 70 km north from the capital of the country. The project was financed by the Polish government,  in the framework of the Polish Aid programme for 2007. Polish government contributed around 35 thousands dollars to the completion of the project which is supossed to inspire builiding more libraries in the poorest regions of Jordan.
