The project was implemented between 16 June and 31 December 2011 in Nairobi (Kenya) and counted with participation of one volunteer who stayed there from 2 July to 17 November 2011. The coordinator of the project was the Poland - East Africa Economic Foundation, PEAEF, and Foundation "Cultures of the World", and the local partner was the Barbara Jasińska Rise & Shine Academy.
The aim of the project was to teach English, conduct trainings for students and teachers, and to prepare a system of a permanent Polish volunteering programme at the school. Beneficiaries of the projects were students and teachers of the school run by the local partner.
Over the course of the project, the volunteer conducted English lessons to the students of 6th grade up to 2nd grade of secondary school. In total, 58 students attended those classes. Also, the volunteer carried out computer trainings, covering the basics of computer use and functions of MS Office programmes.
