On 5 December, thousands of volunteers the world over observe the International Volunteer Day designated by the United Nations. Polish volunteers have carried out 120 projects in 39 countries as part of the Polish Aid volunteer programme during the last five years.
Thanks to Poland’s development assistance, students at an orphans’ school in Timor-Leste will now have access to modern computer equipment. It is the first project that has been put in place in the country as part of the Small Grants System which is funded under the Polish aid scheme.
