In June, the Foundation for Civil Activity together with the Georgian ATINATI organisation in Zugdidi began to realise the ‘Nobody else will come and do this… the Polish-Georgian experience in developing local governance’ project.

The aim of the project is to create an exchange of experiences between small Polish and Georgian communities. Bringing together the effort of residents, non-government organisations, parents, teachers, youth and government representatives, the project endeavours to solve local problems, as well as, utilise potential for the community’s own growth. As part of the project, workshops were organised for local leaders from different communities in Zugdidi, Ozurgeti and Mestii. 3 local action groups were also created as part of the project, which work to rouse the local community into action.
